Baracoa in Cuba was one of my favourite cities although it was the warmest place (temperature wise) in Cuba when I was there. Although Cuba is increasingly becoming a worldwide must go, Havana has been the main tourist go to place. Baracoa is in fact not as crowded but still beautiful and different to Havana. Pretty much in all aspects - food (coconut and cacao in the cooking alongside lots of fresh seafood), landscape (mountainous and the sea vs urban buildup), types of transport (more horse carts here and lesser classic/ vintage cars) and lots of outdoor activities. This beautiful city whilst a lot smaller than Havana but still packed with life and beauty. To get to Baracoa, it is possible to catch a domestic flight from Havana or by bus throughout the island.
