Multifaith Climate Change Workshop

Last Thursday (18 June 2015), I attended the "Multifaith Climate Change Workshop – Exploring Meaning" held at the Sydney Mechanical School of Arts and was organised by Transition Parramatta. The workshop had a panel who was represented by experienced and inspirational speakers of different faiths and belief system. It was very interesting to listen to the different perspectives on what Climate Change from the panelists but also input from the audience.

Whilst I did not set out or was engaged to photograph the event, it would have been remiss of me not to as they did not have an official photographer. It worked out really well as I had my camera with me and my speedlight (I was shooting a farewell event earlier that day). I couldn't help but think of what one of the ACP's tutors used to say: "Always have your camera with you". I offered my photography services to the organisers and they were happy for someone to photograph the event. The lighting of the hall was quite challenging to shoot as the stage was not evenly lit up and was really quite dark (from a camera point of view). Nevertheless, I managed to work with what I had and captured the flow of the night.

If you like to see the speakers for the workshop, please feel free to visit the key photo highlights from that night here.
