Some of you may recall that I posted a few weeks ago that I was going to volunteer for a charity event called "Rise up" organised by Bodhichitta Foundation. That event took place last Saturday (8 Aug 2015) and I captured the photos for that event. It was an interesting night at Glebe Town Hall as people came to the event. With live music, raffle draws, virtual donation booths, good wholesome food, movie, auctions and lots of smiles, people enjoyed a night of awareness whilst giving generously to help those in need. With 2 good speakers, Ayya Yeshe (who also runs the charity) and Reverend Bill Cruise, the audience were given a treat of inspirational and provoking thoughts. To help raise funds further, raffle tickets were sold and some parted with beautiful art pieces to be auctioned off.

Like any fund raisers or charity events, they run on the backbone of good and invaluable volunteers. Many contributing days, weeks and even months before to ensure it was a night of success. You can click here for the direct link to have a look of the events of the night.
